Buy Jury

Want it?
Put it on hold.

Wait 48 hours. Ask your friends. Decide with a clear head.

Free · iPhone · No bank account needed

What you didn't buy, added up.

How it works

  1. Pause.

Put the thing on hold instead of buying it. Paste a link, share from Safari or any shopping app, or snap a photo in the shop. Price and currency fill in for you.

Paste a link, or snap it in the shop.
  2. Ask.

Send your friends one link. They vote Buy or Skip in a tap, no app needed.

See who voted, and what they said.
  3. Decide.

When the hold is up, you choose. Skip it and it counts toward what you've kept.

Friends decide

A second opinion, on tap.

“Should I buy this?” is a question you’d ask a friend anyway. Buy Jury turns it into one link. They see the photo and price, vote, and add one line if they want. You see who voted and what they said, and friends who would rather stay quiet can vote anonymously. Still want it? Find it cheaper shows up to three better prices, only when you ask.

The vote page

Your friends don’t need the app.

The link opens a simple page: Buy or Skip, a first name, an optional comment. No account. They can vote anonymously, and their vote goes only to you.

Your companion

Wait it out with Coco or Kobe.

Pick a cat or a dog. They sit on your screen, nap while your holds count down, and pipe up when friends vote or a hold is up. Tap them for news, a meow or a woof. When you skip something, they celebrate with you.

Streaks and circle

Small streaks, big difference.

Each night, one question: did you spend money today? Groceries and bills don’t count, and one rest day a week is forgiven. Invite a few friends to your circle and you’ll see each other’s streaks. Only the streak. Never what you spent.

Questions

How does a hold work?
You add something you want to buy and pick how long to wait (48 hours on the free plan). When the time's up, Buy Jury reminds you and you decide: skip it or buy it.
Do my friends need the app to vote?
No. They open the link in any browser, tap Buy or Skip, and add their first name. That's it. They can also tick Vote anonymously: you'll see their vote and message, but their name is never saved.
Who are Coco and Kobe?
Your companion: a cat or a dog you pick when you start (and can change or rename in Settings). They keep you company, tell you when friends vote or a hold is up, and meow or woof when you tap them. Sounds and vibration can be turned off in Settings.
What is Find it cheaper?
On a hold, tap Find it cheaper and Buy Jury looks for the same item for less at other stores, showing up to three new listings with how much you'd save. It only runs when you tap it, and you can save listings for later. Free plans get 2 checks a month; Jury Plus gets 30.
Who can see my holds?
Only you. A hold is only visible to others if you tap Ask friends, and then only to people with the link. Polls close when you decide or when the hold ends.
What does my circle see?
Your first name and your no-spend streak numbers. Never your holds, prices or totals.
Does Buy Jury connect to my bank?
No. Buy Jury never asks for bank or card access. The totals are just the prices of things you chose to skip.
How do I cancel Jury Plus?
In Buy Jury, open Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Buy Jury → Cancel. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
